Check out Simply Rugged's Sourdough Pancake holster. I carry my 715-2 in one.

Holsters for S&W "L" frames (586/686, 581/681, 619, 520/620) will fit Dan Wesson models 14/15.

It's kinda strange how they designed the Dan small frames. Frame is much closer to S&W's 'L' frame. The cylinder is much the same as the 'K' frame cylinder. In fact speedloaders for 'K' frames also fit the Dan small frame. For the 38/357Mag models use a #10-A HKS speedloader. Took me a while to figure this out but, once I got it my "unused" holster box quit growing.

For a holster from a custom maker, just ask for one for a 686.

Yes, Simply Rugged. Happy with the Sourdough Pancake and two other products.

Old-ish post but for brevity I'll add to this thread for those searching on "holster" in the future.

I just got my second sourdough pancake principally for a model 15 (no dash) with a 4-inch porkchop barrel and a newly converted fiber-optic sight from Eric.  (And I'll add that if you're seeking anything DW contact Eric, he's a great asset).  The first sourdough is for a model 14 (no dash) with a 2.5" porkchop barrel, also with a fiber-optic sight (but a tall one which Eric will make if you give him a heads up).  Both of these are my carry setups, one mostly for around the ranch (model 15) and the other for around the populated battlegrounds (model 14).  Either gun fits either sourdough holster, but for some reason the model 14 doesn't seat as deep in either holster as the model 15.  I'll have to make some detailed measurements to figure that out since both are porkchop models but not sure where the model 14 hangs up.  I'm guessing it's the height from the bottom of the trigger guard to the top of the frame in front of the rear sight.  It still seats deep enough, just not as deep.

When I put my 6" barrel on the model 15 I use a crossfire stealth holster.  It works fine but the sourdoughs, being pancakes, really snug everything up against the body, which is great for carry (including IWB).  Both sourdoughs have IWB retention straps.

And lastly the other part of comfortable carry is the belt.  Get a <really> good one, as wide as you can fit into whatever you wear.  I use a 1.75" wide belt made of top-grain leather.  And I strongly suggest you check out Hanks Belts (https://www.hanksbelts.com/).  They are top-shelf and a great value.  I use the Enforcer.

I second the Hank's belts recommendation.  You can rappel down a mountain with the thing, it's so thick.  🙂  And they are really well made, stitching wise.
