Hi All!
New to this forum but spend a lot of time at the Smith and Wesson forum. I was wondering if you could me with my new Dan Wesson.
Back story...
I purchased this from an LGS's website site unseen and no pictures. I've done a lot of business with them over the years and they are usually spot on with their descriptions and condition ratings. It was listed as Dan Wesson 6" .32 H&R Mag Blue finish excellent condition with box. I've been wanting a Dan Wesson, I already have a Ruger GP100 in .327 Mag and the price was right so I pulled the trigger. A few days later I went to my FFL to pick it up when I discovered that it was not a .32 H&R mag but a .32-20. I'll be honest I was not familiar with that caliber. So I took it home and started doing some research on both the gun and the caliber. It seems this gun in that caliber is rare and didn't find all that much info. The gun is sweet but after reading up on the .32-20 and really not wanting another caliber in the arsenal I'm going to try and move it towards my grail gun.
So I'm looking to see what you might think the value is and how rare it really is. I've been watching the popular auction site the last couple months and saw one just like this sell but it was a pistol pack and sold for about $3800.
Any info would be appreciated...thanks for your time!

Welcome to the forum from PA! Nice looking revo and it is a rare bird as said. I am no help to you on this as the revolvers are not my forte, but there are several here that will be along to help.

Welcome to the Forum.
I have never seen a 32-20 or even read much about them but I do believe you have a very beautiful revolver there. I am sure there are some DW members that know something about them and they will chime in with some very good information. If you got it for a decent price you may be able to make some profit with it.

It's a pretty rare caliber. As far as value, you'll get varying personal opinions but if you don't want the gun the best way to determine the value is to post it up on gunbroker and see where it goes. I'm guessing you're going to make money on it.

Ron has some great comparables. Yes, Gunbroker would be the way to go. The pistol pack for 3600 is, not indicative because a full pack is a very rare bird and the barrel assemblies are made out of unobtanium. Good luck.

Thanks for the welcome and information everyone.
I too figured Gunbroker would be the way to go but really wasn't sure what to expect. I wasn't expecting the prices Ron posted...that will certainly get me close. I definitely did well on it, maybe because it was listed as a 32 mag.
By looking at the tag I'm a little confused...is this a model 32 in .32-20 or a model .32-20?

List it as a Model 32.20 and take lots of pictures....

Got it...thanks for the info. It will probably go up this month.
Hopefully my first/next Dan Wesson will be a 357 max...the hunt continues.

I'd love to find a 32 caliber Dan, seems to be one of the hardest to find. Youll love the Max also. I just got my Max back from DW for a complete refinish!
