Repairing the rear sight is a pretty iffy issue, replacement is your best alternative, with 3 possible options:
1) Buy a used one, sometimes available alone or (more often) as part of a DW parts package from a disassembled DW, sometimes available on Gun Broker
2) New rear sight assembly is available from DW/CZ

3) Buy a Millett rear-the best solution, but hard to find, sometimes seen on ebay
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Here's a quick update on rear sights -I called up to CZ/DW just this week looking for an elevation screw and was advised they are no longer selling rear sight assemblies. Bushnell / Millett is no longer producing them and there are no more in stock. I also did an exercise scouring the internet and came up empty. Unfortunately, that pretty much leaves the secondary market - ebay, Gunbroker, gun shows, etc.

Just more reason to get the Millets as they come available. In the past I have pre-emptively just bid on them to win (stupid high auto bids). Also, more reason to bid on the parts assortments that come up on GB.

Harly,
That's not a good sign if they are not going to be stocking parts!

Jody - I was thinking the same thing. It gives me a feeling that there may be a change in plans on a new gun for next year. The Norwich guns were using Millett sights as OEM but with Bushnell / Millett out of the picture now and no sight parts available, it doesn't look promising. I would have expected that DW would have either worked with Bushnell to resurrect the old tooling on the Millett series 100 sights, find another supplier, or machine them in house. But to discontinue service is definitely not a good sign for future production or support of existing guns. In light of this I am also condidering to be more conservative regarding future acquisitions. The SHOT show will be coming up in a few months and hopefully they will release some information or if some members are attending they can get in to talk to them and get an update.

Steve - watch the laws of supply and demand kick in here.
