My m15-2 shoots so far to the left that I have the rear sight cranked all the way over to the right. I have read other members have had this problem. Has anyone come up with a fix yet? Maybe I need a new rear sight or I might be installing the barrel wrong. Do you try to twist the shroud to compensate a little or try to keep it straight while tightening?

I hope the Barrel isn't cross threaded! Pull it all apart reinstall tioghten hand tight with proper gap. While apart look at pin on front of frame make sure it is not bent! All loads going left? Box it up and send to me!
Maybe worth while to remove and repalce rear sight make sure springs and screws are all in good shape. Remove and inspect front sight! Show us what you got!

OK your last statement may lead to a fix. When a shroud is slid over the barrel there is a hole in the shroud that mates to a pin in frame. Thus it is not possible to "compensate". The pin in the frame is just pressed in and can be lost. I hope this helps.

Maybe… it's the trigger finger? When I first started shooting pistols I was pushing the tigger left, rather than pulling straight back. My dad discovered my issue by loading the cylinder for me and watching. He left some chambers empty and when I pulled on an empty cylinder the problem became obvious.
Try using different parts of your trigger finger. If you're using the tip of your finger, try inserting the finger just a bit further and using the crease between your first and second pad.
Just a thought…
