7261x was bought new in 1977. 37756x reportedly purchased in 1986.
Welcome to DWF, please visit New Members when you have a chance, and give us a peek at your DW.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I recently aquired a Stainless Serial #SD0212xx, Dan Wesson Arms, Monson, Mass. USA with an 8" and a 4" Barrel. Can anyone identify the model and age? Also, the blade on the Rear site is loose. I read a post here about getting a Millett DW00001 as a replacement. I have also seen other posts stating that this won't work. Any input would be helpful.

Welcome to our forum. The S makes it stainless (as you said); the D makes it a .357 Magnum; the combination makes it a model 715. My SN is SD 016305, purchased new by me in 1986 or 1987 (I believe).
ATF took all of the factory records when DW failed the first time and will not share.
I can't answer your sight issue but I'm sure somene else here can.

Got to pop caps today. This one is as accurate as the former DW I owned. The shorter barrel is a little tricker to line up.
I love the smell of gumpowder in the morning!
Looking at your s/n #'s, Everyone has 15's (as someone stated above). Where are all the 14 owners. I know there are lots of owners out there.

I also have a Monson made Model 15 with a wobbling rear sight. I could not find the Millet anywhere but Opticsplanet. I ordered this one;
I received it yesterday and it looks like a perfect match to the gun. The Millet box states the sight is for Models 15, 41 and 44. As I said, it appears to be the right one, width, length, pin placement, tang, all looks to be dead on. The sight appears to be very well made with very distinct adjustment markings.
I think Shoot said he had a problem with the roll pin and had to use the original DW pin. I will be installing mine later in the month and post an update.
Here is the website; http://www.opticsplanet.net/millett-revolver-sights.html
Hope this helps.
