Check and see if the cylinder is rotating each time. You may have a worn hand or cylinder allowing the cylinder to not rotate. Also check the side plate for tightness, then remove it and look inside(If you havent allready). Many years ago a friend's model 15 did the same thing and he brought it to me, after cleaning the gunk and cobwebs out of the action it worked like a charm. Anyway just a few ideas to check.good luck.

The cylinder rotates everytime and the hammer cocks back and falls evrytime it just doesnt strike the primer hard enough to cause the primer to ignite, but it does leave a slight dimmple on the primmer. which when I fire it in single action it fires every time every round. thanks for the advice though.

I have no personal experience on this, but I think I'd try replacing the spring. Wolff's has them available, and replacement springs frequently appear on EBay (I think there's one there now).
