Mine popped out at the range but I recovered it and red lock tite has kept it in place since. IMG_0221.JPGImage Enlarger

The cylinder stop is held in place by tight-tolerance pressure fit. Yes, it is safe to fire, but the cylinder can fall off when the crane is in the open position, so be careful until you replace it.

Be careful when you take the side plate off when you replace it. That's a weak point in the side plate and you could crack/bend or break it After taking the grip off and the side plate screws, lift slightly and gently pull up and to the rear. Don't force it. Check above and below the cylinder stop hole(on the inside of side plate) for any existing cracks. When you replace the stop, again be careful and not force it too much. Mine went back in easily and red locktite has held it in place for several range trips. It's very easy to scratch the side plate with the ejector star so take care when ejecting. If it were mine I'd wait to shoot it until I fixed it. I believe in Murphy's Law and sooner or later my cylinder would be hitting the floor. I've recently bought my first DW revolver and just repeating advice I've gotten here. Good luck with your 15-2.
