Newbie here. I have a Model 11 with a 4 inch barrel. It was given to me several years ago by the widow of a friend. With the revolver was also a combat grip and a 2 inch barrel and pork chop shroud from a later model with the internal barrel nut. My question is, will this 2 inch shroud and barrel with the internal nut fit the Model 11?

Hello smokie.
Let me say first, to the DWF.
I am sure that someone will have an answer to your question shortly. I personally cannot answer your question as I have never compared the difference between the external and internal nut setups. I would think it would work but I don't know for sure.

I never say it will fit 100%, but it should work no problem. Chargerfan has a tutorial on the differences around here somewhere, and I'm sure he will chime in also. The only difference is on the nut end--as long as you have all the pieces together (shroud, barrel, and internal nut), it should go right on.
If you have a wrench, just give it a shot ...

Here's a comparison I put together a while back, showing the barrel & shroud differences...

Your 2" flush nut barrel assembly should fit right on with no problem, as long as you have all the correct related pieces, as Shoot stated. There's even a W12 or two currently on Gun Broker wearing the incorrect flush mount barrels.
The only issue you may run into will be a front sight height problem, depending on whether or not the 2" shroud is for a Model 14 or 15 (fixed sight or adjustable sight revolvers). If the front sight is tall (Model 15), it may not want to shoot to point of aim.
aboard, maybe stop by the Intro area & say hi. And we'd love to see some pics of the 'ol Porkchop if you have any.

Thaanks for the info guys. The barrel, shroud and nut appear to be from a Model 14. So, I'll give it a try. I have a friend that is into refurbishing rifles and shotguns. I'll take it to hm to try the change.
Next is to find a holster. I currently have a Bianchi 10L for the 4 inch and it fits well.
I plan to take a consealed carry course. I'll take the course with a rental semi-auto from the range. Here if you take the course with a revolver you are only permitted to cary a revolver. However, if you takle the course with a semi-auto you are permitted to carry either.
I'll find some batteries for the camera and take a shot or two of the Danny Boy and post them.

I agree, the 2" looks like a M14 assembly. It should screw right on with no problem.
Also, the combat grip should be original to the gun...the medallion on the target grip sez that it was purchased at some point approximately 1980 or after.
The gun looks great & using a Porkchop for CC will be cool!
