I searched but didn't find any threads with definitive answers.
- Can the rear sight on a model 14 service revolver be changed, preferably to an adjustable? I read something about Ruger sights, maybe Redhawk?
- How are these small frame 357s with heavier loads? I've been thinking about running something like the Buffalo Bore 180gr (https://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=396) as a back up to bear spray when in the woods.

1. No, the rear sight is an integral part of the frame.
2. They can take load you can throw at it.

That is an early porkchop, when they put the model number on the frame, where most models have the serial number. Presume your serial number is stamped on the frame under the crane?
If you do replace the rear fixed sight with an adjustable one, you will probably have issues with the front sight height, as did Dan Wesson.
