Does anyone know if Dan Wesson made a Model 15 with a 3" removable barrel? I've seen a picture of a DW revolver with a 3" barrel. It is a .357, so a model 15.
Also, the color of the trigger I different than the DWes I have. It is lighter color like the trigger I saw on a Palmer 44. I don't know if it's stainless what it may be.
Did the Palmer guns have a lighter colored trigger. The overtravel is on the frame rather than the trigger. In the picture I can't determine if the barrel is interchangeable or not. I also cannot determine if it is Monson or Palmer, but I'm thinking Palmer due to the trigger.

It sounds like you're probably describing a fixed barrel 715. As far as I know, they never did have a 3" removable barrel available. I guess there could be an instance or two where someone special ordered one, but as of today I haven't seen one.
Here's some shots of my 715 3" FB. These were only available from Palmer.

I believe the picture is of one like the model 15 you have on the right. The gun I saw is blued and looks exactly like the one in your picture, right down to the grips and trigger.
Regarding the press pins or pivots pins or whatever they are on the right side of the gun, is the one toward the rear of the gun different from the one toward the front? In the picture I saw, the pin closest to the rear seems to be missing, but it may be a trick of the light and due to the resolution in the photo.
I'm assuming the one on the right is also fixed barrel and Palmer manufactured.
