What differences are there between the barrel shrouds for the model 15-2 in .357 magnum and the model 44 in .44 magnum with the same barrel lengths? Or are the interchangeable?

The 44 shrouds are larger than the 357 shrouds in order to accommodate the larger barrel tubes. They are not interchangeable.

Before my photo host site crashed...and prior to 3 hard drive crashes...I once had side by side comparison photos quickly available. I should do another new try.

But yeah, they most definitely do NOT interchange.

Just to add a little info. The factory mainspring is 9lbs I believe. I always put an 8 lb Wolff spring in the guns I shoot. The 71/2lb  Wolff spring is too light. I use factory ammo so I don't have a problem. The Wolff trigger return spring is a big difference in trigger pull and smoothness.rn  Dans don't have the trigger adjustment screw that Smiths have. Manurhins have 2 screws, one for the mainspring and one for the trigger return spring.
