Several choices for grip;
My best, first choice for this is the Pachmayr Gripper, no longer in production but occaisionally available on ebay, GB. I like them a lot, but grips are a very personal thing
Second choice would be the small DW grip, sometimes available on Ebay, GB. Also some varieties available from CZ/DW

Let me be the first to you to DWF. Others will be along soon to say Hi, and remind you that

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I bet that the Pau Ferro on the left here (from Steve's Hogue link) would be pretty nice for CC purposes.

Those are similar to DW's factory combat grips, but look a little shorter & may be less visible. Show us some of your rig, when you get it finished.

TC- My son is a Connecticut Yankee by birth and upbringing, a recent Texas resident for a couple years for work, and likely a Texan at heart.
Holster choices are even more personal than grip choices. If you have a blue revolver, a lined holster will cut down on finish wear, less critical with Stainless.
Inside waistband is more concealable than outside waistband, the most concealable IWB are the "tuckables". One thing to look for on IWB is to get one with two attachment snaps/tabs fairly widely spaced on the belt. If they're only say 1" apart (or a clip) the holster tends to pivot around the attachment point. If the snaps/tabs are spaced 4" or more apart the holster is more stable.
Try this for many holster discussions:

Holsters for S&W K frame should be the closest fit foe a 15-2

Texas you either love or hate. I have come to find this "home". BTW, I was just up in CT on business. Very scenic. Was in G'wich.
Football season goes only one way--BUCKEYES! That is when they know a Yank is in their midst.
Many thanks for the holster data. Any thoughts on a shoulder set-up?

It went through one round with a $595 starting price...no bids. Then when he re-listed it with a of $550, it only lasted just short of three hours.

It would normally have gone for more, if the cylinder drag line wasn't so pronounced. Still, I think this was a good deal for someone.
