So, I want to know of anyone has ever machined a six shot cylinder for moon clips that enable one to shoot 38 super ammo.

I'm dead set on doing this mod, but before I take the plunge, I would like to hear from someone that has successfully milled a cylinder for 38 super moon clips.

I would go so far as to offer to purchase a machined DW.

S&W 625 is not an option at this time.

Thanl you dave for your input.

I have both, 9 mm and 38 super.

There is very little difference in diameter, only in length.

I think I'm going to do this.

Now just to find six shot 38 super moon clips, or 9 mm.

Someone once suggested this site. I did not go through with it. Though I do have a spare cylinder now, just in case I want to try it.

Soap Box, Ballot Box, Ammo Box

in that order.

So, as luck wouold have it, I took my 357 S&W to the coutry today.

I had checked the extractor and the 38 supers felt like they would shoot and eject OK.

I fired it an sure enought, it performed well.

I'll leave the DW alone and use my S&W.

By the way the S&W is a "Lady Smith" in stainless.

I would check 38 super pressure before shooting it in a lady smith.
