I picked up my first Dan Wesson wheel gun at a gun show in Inverness, FL this weekend. Owner said he was 2nd owner, but first to shoot it. @100 rounds through it according to him. Marking s on the original, but heavily worn box show it originated in Brattleboro, VT. I've looked at every picture I can find of a Dan Wesson revolver and the serial #s were all in the same place. On THIS gun, where the serial # should be, it is only stamped model 15....... Am I looking in the wrong place? The only thing I haven't done is look under the grips.

I know this is an old post but,
I have what appears to be the same gun. The side plate screw (left side behind cylinder)was missing so I ordered the parts kit from EWKarms. All the screws were too small? It does not appear to be stripped just a larger hole. Does anyone have any experience with this? I did find a contact for the company in NY. I will try in the morning.
Thanks for any info,

Yes, the earlier guns do have larger screws. I haven't researched it yet to determine the size, but you could take your other remaining one to a hardware store & likely find the thread size there. They may even have a black Allen screw!
