So I posted before about buying a porkchop 2 1/2" barrel and shroud for my model 15. When I bought it I didnt realize it was for an earlier model 15 which had a different ejector rod. My ejector rod has a big mushroom end and the earlier model had a more slender version. The shroud I bought would not fit my ejector. So I took a file to it and modified it. I filed down the diameter and shortened it. The end still has a flat spot so it shouldnt bug my hand if I have to slap it to extract casings. I just ordered some bluing from midway. As soon as I get that I'll blue the modified portion. Turned out perfect!!! And my porkchop looks so damn sexy as a snubby!!! See attached pics!!!!!!

Im very receptive blacktop. I thank you and charger fan for all your help. And now ask for some more help from you guys. Now that I have the 2 1/2" setup I want to add a scope to the 6" shroud. I want to mount it to the shroud so I can easily exchange between a scoped 6" and a iron sight 2 1/2". I know nothing about pistol scopes nor how to mount them. Need HELP!!! I know one thing though, looking forward to scoping it to see what it can do at a 100 yards. Currently shoots a 6" circle at 75 yards with open sights. My eyes suck at that distance so I know it can be tightened up dramaticaly with a scope.

just ran into another issue with the short barrel and shroud!!!! Took it out at lunch to the range and it shot a nice tight pattern except I cant lower the rear sight enough to shoot at point of aim. Its shooting about 6" high at 10 yards. The sight on my other shroud is much taller than the sight on the new one. I guess the sights must have been different also along with the ejector rods. No biggy if I can just get a taller sight and switch them out. Any advice would be appreciated!!!!!

Give SHOOT a big thanks , he just put this together.
You can get taller front sights , I think Eric at EWK arms can help :

Eric is also a very active member and an all around awesome guy to talk to.
If you can't find what you need you can always give CZ/DW a call, they may
have some old stock left. :

So....I have (2) sights coming. I have a green fiber optic sight coming in from EWK and a 15-2 sight coming in from another member on here. I figured I would just get (2) types and see which one works the best. I posted a pic below which shows the removed sight. It was in there pretty snug but I was able to work it out. The portion of the removed sight that is inserted in the shroud does not look like the EWK or 15-2 sight. Does anyone have any experience with putting a 15-2 or a EWK sight in a model 14 Shroud for a model 15? (That just sounded very confusing) I cant be the only one who has done this.

Thinking of the same thing though not sure looks like some machine work will have to be done to fit them!
I have an email into eric at EWK arms. I think he'll be able to shed some light on the subject. I know I'll have to drill a hole in the new sight for the pin just wasnt sure if any other modifications would have to be made to fit it. Ill definetly keep you posted as to the outcome. And of course pics and a range report will be included!!!!

I haven't actually drilled a hole yet...-...but once you see the new sights, it will be rather apparent to to where you should drilll.
No, they aren't exact, but they will work & interchange.
Maybe I should send Eric a Porkchop sight, so they can be axact in the future??
