A neighbor recently passed a way and his widow has asked me to help her dispose of his firearms. One is a Dan Wesson Model 22, Blue, 6"barrel, from the 1990s (I think). Very good condition. With a nice holster and a cloth carrying case.
I am a shooter and I know quite a bit about firearms but the Dan Wesson revolvers are outside my areas of expertise. So, to help her get the best deal on the revolver, I need to know an approximate value and, more importantly, the best place for me to list it for her.
Any help would be appreciated. I am in AZ and have the revolver in my possession. I have taken a photo and can give the serial number as necessary. My email is joyray(at)frontiernet(dot)net
Thanks

Welcome,
Depending on the condition, it is probably a $400+ gun. You can list it for sale here in the classifieds section, or place it on an internet auction site like http://www.gunbroker.com

If you put a clean, good condition Model 22 up here with some good pictures, I think you have a good chance of selling it for $400, and none of the GB fees apply to a sale here.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Best place to list it in AZ would probably be on arizonashooting.com which is a pretty large and well traveled local shooting forum. You can probably get a higher price on gunbroker, but by the time you add in listing and shipping fees you will net more by selling locally.
