Can someone share some information on the Model 360? I have searched the forum and found one picture and it showed a 357 designated Model 360 made in Norwich. What does that mean. Are they hard to find? Valuable?

Thanks

The 360 is a large frame made only in Norwich it is a 357 magnum chambered long using a full length large frame cylinder instead of a shorter one like S&W did in the 27 & 28 the frame is there might as well use the length right.  Case length is 1.41 and ends up in between not surprisingly 357 magnum and maximum/supermag it provides more velocity than magnum and is supposed to not have the finnickiness of the max. I have one but don't have any brass and they were marked 357 ++. Starline made a run of 360 DW brass but it is hard to find.

Thanks for the info. That is a great article. I have a chance to go look at one and this was the first I had heard of it. Sounds like it was made for the elite shooter looking for that winning edge. Would it range in price  between the mag and the supermag, do you think?

IMO assuming that it is in good shape anything under $1000 would be a good deal.  The 360 or 7360 is very collectible I would venture to say it's up there with the 414 for rarity and if you have one accessible to you and decide to pass on it there will be a few forum members wanting contact info for the owner or shop (including me). If it comes with brass or ammo it increases the value as well since Starline hasn't made a run for quite a while and more than likely won't anytime soon.

Let me know if you don't want it. I will rent the wife out to raise the funds. No , not really, but the are highly sought. A LNIB 7360 disapeared off gunbroker not too many months ago with a BIN of $3600.

I went and saw the gun and of course bought it in less than half a heart beat. I will post pictures in the Pic thread for large frames. Let me try to get the catalog number down, I think it would go like this: HP 7630 First Issue!

WOW! It is a beauty!

Your going to make everyone envious of your find. Please don't tell us what you paid, I have a feeling it was super deal and make us even more envious. If you ever decide to get rid of it, please let everyone know, I'm sure it would draw a lot of interest. wink
