First post is a request for assistance... I have a DW Model 722 .22LR Stainless Purchased by my father in law in 1981, according to a letter in the case. The case appears to be complete with 4 Barrels, 2 red, 2 white & 2 yellow sights, wrench, belt buckle, patch and extra walnut grip. Father in law is 92. He tells me the gun has not been fired since he bought it new. I would like to know the value & rarity of the case & it's contents.
Thanx in advance for your help... Laz

Welcome to the DWF !!! That is a fine collectible piece of DW history and is worth an absolute minimum of $1200 with the possibility of selling for a much higher amount, especially if it truly is unfired. What you have is a model 722 Pistol Pac, which, if you have the keys and little yellow manilla envelope would make it 100% complete. (Keys may be under the foam)

Thanx, thats good to hear.
Keys are included.. just didn't think to put them in the picture. There is a small, maybe 1 x 3 inch envelope that the extra sights were in. There is also a warranty card and some other paperwork under the foam.
My Father in law, John, collected a pretty wide variety of pistols but seldom fired any. Bought them and put them away. Now he is in his 90's and has moved several of them to my gun safe, for safe keeping… Including a Thompson that I now have the federal tax stamp for, in my name.
