Hi,
I'm new to the forum and purchasing a 9-2 in near new condition from my local gun shop in Maine. I'm viewing on-line because of quarantine(like everyone it seems) but know the gun shop in my hometown is reputable. The DW Model is 9-2 and labeled .357 on the shrouds. The directory on this forum lists 9-2 as a .38 Special. I know that shrouds are interchangeable and wonder if there is a way to validate that 9-2 revolvers did indeed come in .357 magnum? The gun shop manager is going to check with a chamber gauge, but thought I'd ask here. Could this be a .38 special that was reamed to chamber .357?
Thanks

Most likely it's a 15-2 unless there's a model number on the revolver- I have never seen that though. Many people "think" they know the model numbers or there is a reference that is wrong... I've written KTP a few times to correct model numbers in the past. Regards, Ron
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
