Many people feel that the Monson revolvers were more consistently good, and the Palmer ones were a little more inconsistent. There are some pretty knowledgeable posts throughout this forum on that subject, and the simple answer to your question is that if it looks good and functions properly, then it should be fine. The location of manufacture changed, the basic "platform" didn't. A good DW revolver is still a joy to own, no matter the source.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

The Monson guns I have are all really nice, I would think that you will find more Monson guns then Palmer just because of length of time the factory was open, Palmer was only open for a few years. and the Norwich plant has not produced very many revolvers.
1971 - 1992 Monson, MA
1992 - 1995 Palmer, MA
1997 - Present Norwich, NY
