Does anyone know if there is any rail that can be mounted to the shroud on my Dan Wesson mod 40 supermag with vented barrel ?
It is important that it is low enough so the original sights still can be used with it in place, if thats possible. Cz-usa still has some orginal mounts, but i dont know how thick they are so it is hard to tell if they will obstruct the original sights.

Any ideas/comments ?

I think you're going to have a problem there.  I don't think there's anything that doesn't interfere with the iron sights.  You could get a B-Square clamp-on mount and then just quickly remove the mount and sight as a unit when you want to use the iron sights.  Just a thought. Smile

The best way is to get another shroud and have the scope mounted to one and the other for iron, that's what I did many years ago and they both work just fine.  Pulling off and on the B-Square will require resightening the scope, I use a B-square on my other shroud and sighting is same every time.

Millet used to make revolver rings with nice iron sights milled into the top of the rings.  You may want to look for a set of those.
