I don't know why I haven't noticed this before but I was looking at my 741 yesterday evening and as I was putting it back in the box I noticed it was marked V5. I get my ruler out and sure enough this baby has a V5 barrel and shroud.
Since that's not a standard length I thought it was worth sharing.
Here's a picture of it (Second from Left):

I thought something was up with that gun but couldn't figure out what it was !
On one of the links to the calguns site it says that the NY guns used lother walther barrels whereas the MA guns had cut rifled barrels .
I wonder if that V5 didn't start as a >6 inch MA barrel that they cut down and retapped for whatever reason like to use up old stock or whatever ?
Anyway it's pretty cool !

Allow me, please.
The little gun at the bottom is a Lil' Dan, model 738P. Five shot, 38 Special +P. Those grips are the stock offering. Unfortunately no wood (zebra wood, preferred) grips seem to be available for this gun.
Yes, those grips are comfortable but they will not fit any other DW. There is a dogleg shaped plastic foundation around which the rubber molding is wrapped.
Hey bnitch, Zoommb is correct that is a Lil' Dan. They were only made for a short period of time at the Palmer location. I nice little set of zebras for it would be nice. I'll have to see what I can do once I get my router recreator going full speed!
I also read somewhere that they use lother walther barrels. I tried to contact them directly but never got a reply.
