Well, it took a little bit of work, but my Custom DW22 is finally done 🙂 It went from a stock 4" gun to a real beauty--here's the original pic...
And here is what she ended up as... 🙂 I installed a one-off original DW unfluted SS cylinder and SS barrel, and then slotted the shroud. When it gets nice outside I'll take some better pics. I still need to polish up the barrel a little more to match the cylinder. I hope she shoots as good as she looks !

That's a great looking DW, nice work!
So, do you have a local machinist doing the shroud slots for you, or do you send them off to DW?
My local FFL guy has a vertical mill, so I've been letting him practice on my shrouds 🙂 That's why I gave him the beater 14-2 shroud first. He is getting the hang of it, my slots are a little wider than they started out, he had to do some cleanup work. I am very satisfied with the work, he gives me exactly what I ask for.

Jody said:SHOOT, did you have any issues with timing once you dropped in the new cylinder?
I had to do some fitting--took .006 off the length to fit it in the frame. Had to take a little bit off the back of the hand to get the rotation just perfect. I['m hoping it is a tack driver--if it warms up this week I'll try it out.
