Hey man, did you get your replacement as yet?
I had to send mine in as it has either has head spacing problems or it's not trued with frame. It would often jam up and not let cylinder rotate after firing using with 3 different brands of ammo. I bet mine isn't back till after New Year's.
Oh well I've been taking up the slack with the custom bobtail RZ'z in 10mm and 38 Supper and having a hoot.
Hey Walt! No I haven’t got the replacement yet. I might shoot an email off to Bob this week just to see if he has a ballpark timeframe. 6? Months? 1 year? Etc. He did say “it might take some time” since he’s building a new one.
That’s a bummer you had an issue with yours. Hopefully they get it fixed and sent back soon. Definitely keep me posted when you get it back.
Will do my friend. They got it the 20th of Nov so maybe I'll get it back before Christmas. I've heard they only do 100 a year of new 715's .

Bob just got back to me and said he should have it done before the end of the year. Also said they're doing their annual inventory and there could be shipping delays.

Got an email from Bob yesterday and mine is finished and in shipping dept waiting for them to get caught up from inventory He said my firing pin was sticking and he polished it and it no longer sticks and said shooting till it's hot caused no sticking. I found and bought 2 boxes of 357 this past weekend ($70) and it was all they had in the shop. They did have 3 or 4 boxes of 40 cal, about 8 boxes of 10mm and about a dozen 17 HMR on the shelf.
I was going to sell my customized MkII Ruger and 30 Carbine by Auto Ordnance but with all the ammo shortage or hording problems who wants to buy a gun with no ammo for it or limited to one or two boxes if you do find some ammo. I guess I'll be okay with the 30 carbine as I have at least a 1000 rounds for it, but forget the 22 cal ammo.

Just was looking at the email I was thinking was a billing invoice and it's a shipping invoice and I guess the gun was shipped the 8th of Dec. Funny thing was they got the phone notification number wrong, not sure how important that is, just hope they don't try to call me.

Well I got my new replacement 715!! Picked it up today and got it cleaned up for a trip to the range.
WOW! The high quality machining and the tight cylinder lockup is very noticeable compared to the old one. Trigger is awesome too thanks to Bob reusing the old hammer and trigger that he polished previously.
Went through 100 rounds and I can say it’s just as accurate as the old one. Back to ringing my 8" steel plate at 120 yards.
All in all I am extremely pleased with this so far. Fingers crossed this barrel won’t split!

I noticed after installing the Wolff 8# mainspring that there was some weird resistance/hang up with the trigger during the first couple mm of travel.
I finally realized the top coil of the mainspring was actually dragging against the top of the mainspring body of the frame. I used some needle nose pliers and pinched the coil tighter so it wasn’t protruding outward to make contact with the mainspring body. Good to go now!
