Thank guys, I feel better. My DWAS is getting the better of me. Thank god my wife is used to my compulsive behavior. After measuring I think its actually a 9.5 inch barrel. Going to give it a good polish if I can find the 3m pads mentioned in other posts. There was a blued version VH. for 999.00 available if anyone is near Oaks PA. Gun show ends tomorrow

The 10" BA alone is worth North of 450. And yes, the barrel tube is just 91/2". That was so it would qualify weight wise for IHMSA I think. Also why the 8" VH shroud has a small amount of metal removed from the underlug before the muzzle. When they made supermags the slotted some shrouds for the same reason.

I think I know the blue 41 you mentioned. I've seen one floating around the PA gunshow circuit for the last couple of years. It's a blue 41 with a few rust marks, priced at a firm $999. You got the better gun by far.

The 44 barrel tool will not fit in the bore. Factory 41 mag tools are rare critters. Best bet would be an EWK large frame tool with a 41 mag screw in insert. Get a 357 and a 44 insert too for your next Dan.
Thanks, I will do that...already have the 357 and 22. from them

Sounds like you could be right. I never actually held or inspected it, same seller had a 15 with a 6v and 4v barrels in blue for 799.00 if I remember correctly.

That is a great deal on one of my favorite DW's. I bought my original 741with a VH10 shroud, then found out it wouldn't make the IHMSA weight rules of 4 pounds maximum. Luckily Dan Wesson allowed me to swap the VH10 shroud for a V10 shroud just like yours. I subsequently added a Bomar/Bond sight set for silhouette.

Just returned from the range and will say I'm very happy with it....Very light recoil and real nice shooter. Thanks for all the comments!
What? That's your range report? No target pictures? Nothing about all those hot women that were at the range who drooled over your incredible gun ?
