Okay guys here are the first photos (not the greatest) of the NIPP (new in pistol pac) Model 40 with the VH10S, V8S, V8 and V6 assemblies.
More photos will be coming soon. Here are a couple of interesting observations:
1) The color of the color is like a tan color.
2) The frame is marked Monson but all the assemblies wrapped in paper marked 1994.
The color of the case is the dark blue. I'm very happy with this purchase for not much more than the MSRP of the new 715 I have a very cool SuperMag with lots of goodies!
I do believe I'm seeing someones ancestors in that finish!

SHOOT, I'm 100% this pac came from Dan Wesson shortly before the Palmer plant was shutdown. On closer examination the case is black and is identical to my brown pac case. You don't by any chance have an extra 8" 357 SuperMag barrel you're willing to part with do you?
I got the V8 shroud but no barrel and it also had an extra 10" barrel which is cool.
The orginial sticker has been pilled off. Also no turn ring on this one and I think this is the best bluing on any of my Dans!

Wayne, I think the forum needs to come with a grammar check along with the spell check!
Dean, this one came from a guy that had a collection of Dan's that he got when the Palmer plant was getting ready to shut down. This one is a Monson gun and had no turn line!
I've only had a couple of pistol pacs and this is the first where the foam is glued down to the case so I don't think there is anything under there.
Once I get the barrel assemblies clean up I'll get some more pictures.

Thats an awesome find... congrats. The palmer/monson story line is certainly curious to boot. I wonder if the guy could fill in on it.

I suppose that is the pack you questioned me about? I am glad you landed it. That is one of the purtyiest SM's I have ever seen. More to add to a thread so fool of already! I never knew of a BA that came from the factory like that one.

This is the first I've seen of an actual factory 40 Pistol Pac, I had wondered if any were really made. Plus it's uncommon items...like the tan fabric & 10VHS barrel, to name two.
