Hello!
Please don't flame me for asking this on my first thread, but I've looked and can't find definitive info on what model I have.
I purchased this gun while stationed in the Air Force in 1987, or 1988.
6″ Stainless Revolver, .44 Mag, Adjustable Rear Site, Vented Barrel. It has the gauge and tool for installing the barrel.
The Frame has:
DAN WESSON ARMS
Monson, MASS. U.S.A
SB009XXX
The barrel ONLY has:
DAN WESSON ARMS
.44 MAGNUM CTG.
Stamped on the inside of frame is:
.S.S
No other numbers, or markings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ypu have a model 744 and if the barrel has a vented riib and a full length lug it's a 744VH, a partial lug and vent rib would be 744V. An unvented shroud would be just the numbers for a partial lug or light barrel and an H at the end if full lug. The 7 designates it as stainless.
