Hello everybody.
As stated, I SERIOUSLY need some help here now.... I was "tyring" to fix up some of the parts on my gun, for those of you who have seen it, you know that the blueing is removed on the barrel, cylinder and side plate. So I was giving the sideplate a go with a buffing machine, when the sideplate snapped in two at the cylinder stop!
So, since Dan's are as rare here in Norway as snow in Sahara, I desperatly need some help trying to find me a new sideplate...
Any help is appreciated!

Is the sideplate broken, or did the cylinder stop pop off?
If it's just the cylinder stop, it's a pretty easy fix, but it sounds from your description it's maybe more serious than that.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Both Steve....
It snapped in two at the point of the cylinder stop, and seems like the cylinder stop have jumped about somewhere, will probably find it again. Will check with the guys at work about welding it back together, but if anybody finds any sideplates, please let me know.

I've seen quite a few sideplates that were cracked on the back side straight through the cylinder stop area. Next time you g have your DW apart, clean the back of the sideplate with carb clean/brake clean, etc -- then look under magnification for crack.
Sideplates are not all created equal--they are require some amount of fitting. You may be able to have it TIG welded, as long as they use some heat control paste to avoid warpage.
