Has this happen to anyone else? Anyone have a suggestion on how to get it out? I bought a new pin from Numrich but the one in the shroud has to be removed first. My only thought is it will have to be drilled out by someone with more skill and equipment than I have. Another question is on the new pin. Does it have to be compressed to be installed or does it just need to be tapped in? I see that it is split. Any suggestions on either subject will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Is it broken off in the shroud or is there some sticking out? I've had to take a pair of Vise Grips and grab the end of a pin and then twist the shroud and pull at the same time and it usually comes out. If it's broken off flush or below the shroud surface, you may have to drill it out.

drip a little penetrating oil down the hole in the pin, wrap it in a Ziploc & then put it in the Freezer overnight, not the fridge.
Then try it. Cold makes metal contract & it may be just enough to allow it to be pulled out

The pin is flush in the shroud, there is nothing to grab on to. I don't think it broke off as the hole in the frame looks clean. Does anyone know how deep the frame hole is suppose to be? Is it gunsmith time? Does anyone have a recommendation for a smith in eastern Pennsylvania or New Jersey?

Maybe you could get a small screw to gran onside the roll pin and then grab that to extract. I' do the penetrating oil and freezer thing along with the screw.

There is a small hole in the center. Perhaps a pin or small nail an be tapped in and it will grab. Ditto the freezer. Oil may make the pin useless. The hole is quite shallow. Maybe an eighth of an inch. The pin will just tap in. Snake-eye has pins if your gunsmith does not have one.

The hole in the shroud is larger than the pin. When mine was stuck in the shroud I inserted a small screwdriver (like for eyeglasses), angled it to put pressure on the pin and pulled gently. The pin came right out. After I tapped it back into the frame, it stayed.....no more problem.
