- my dad passed away leaving me a Dan wesson .357
serial #366355 how do I tell what model I have I think its a 15-2its damaged and need to order a.crane for it and don't Wana order the wrong one if anyone can plz help

You can try the factory in distributor Norwich NY 1-800-955-4486 , or just Google it, or there are some frames on gunbroker.com without barrels.

Well a picture would be best but by the serial it must be either a 15-2 (adjustable sights) or a 14-2 (fixed sights). The crane will be the same either way. If it is stainless it will be a 715 or 714.

Jimr - same as in your other post on this-  the crane is a "factory fit" only part.  You'll need to send the gun up to Norwich.

Actually, cranes are sometimes available from guns that have been parted out, you might find one on eBay or Gun Broker. Unless you are fairly skilled, it should still be fitted to the gun by an experienced professional.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
