Not me (nope it's never me ) A friend fell into a stash of 460 Rowland stuff and wants to get it gone.
Along with a pretty good stash of 460 brass and some barrel tools and such were three DW 460 Rowland barrels and shrouds.
Two 4 " and one that seems to be the 4" with a compensator making it a little over 5 " over all . All three have the first issue marking and are stainless. Not the best of finish but fixable.
So I'm doing a little research for him and trying to find out the basic stuff.
What frame do they thread into ? 45 acp, 45 lc ?
Can they be used with ant 45 cal gun ?
And of course what could he expect to get outta them ?
Any help, thoughts or ideas appreciated.
As with every thing else Condition, condition, and condition. pictures would help for priceing and markings of the gun. Is it a palmer, norwich or Monson gun, blue or stainless steel. Vented , vented heavy, and compensated or not?I'm sure folks here would like to know the options and my be interested in some or all.

Ok, getting several emails for pic and prices so I will address it here , for all.
I'm not in possession , They are not complete guns ,There is three barrel assemblies some brass (no idea how much , Doorknob barrel tools and some mystery "other tools". They are not for sale ,,,yet.
I was trying to find answers for the questions asked ,,,,in the first post.
Condition ? I saw them once ,shortly and they were used and a little scruffy . But they are stainless so easy to fix. If I can lay hands on them I will try to get some pictures ,,,, but it will not be quick, I don't see him often.
Dating on Barrels ,They are marked 1st issue so I assume Norwich manufacture ?????
If you have an offer feel free to email me and I will relay but please do not request a price ,,,,,, not mine to sell and I have NO idea.
That said when HE establishes a price I will post here if I can but he may go with the dreaded GunBroker.

First issue is linked to a certain revolver by the serial number. That would be the number under the crest. If you know where the revolver went, that guy would really like to have those barrel assemblies.
They will bring the best prices, either on eBay or Gunbroker. More exposure on eBay.
Me, I would love to have that compensated assembly.

So I'm going to lock this down. He is simply wanting some advice.
Al- sorry we couldn't be specific. It would seem to reason the threads would match a 45LC- if you want to send me a tube, I'll check but I don't have a 460 Rowland to check it my self. As far as asking price- there isn't going to be a benchmark, really; could be between $400-700 each for the barrel assembly. I sold a 732 4" BA for $645 a few years ago.....
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....
