Hello to all:
A few months back, I read about someone having their DW 22 revolver receiving a plated finish. The pictures of the final product looked very nice. In fact, whoever had done this, like it so much so, they had an entire 22 Pistol Pac worth of barrels redone in the same manner. Can anyone tell me who this was? Also, can anyone recommend a plating service that can plate my blued 357 cylinder assembly into a satin nickel finish? Thank you.

Thanks harly:
I don't suppose it was the gunsmith who disassembled the 22 or was it yourself. I am a little intimidated about breaking down the cylinder assembly into its component parts prior to plating. Kindly advise and thanks. DW41F.

I have no personal experience with Fords, but I have seen very good feedback on several Forums:
The website is very informative
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

The guys above have it right - either Ford's or Cogan. I used Bob Cogan. As far as disassembling the firearm, you'll want to do it yourself for 3 reasons - 1) it's cheaper, 2) it's simple, and 3) not a lot of people are experienced with Dan Wessons. If you do it yourself and only send the large parts you are assured that nothing gets lost or damaged in the process unless you do it yourself.

If you send it to Bob Cogan as pieces and parts you will need to send with the firearm an inventory list. When the gun is returned to you there will be fitting necessary. If you send the whole, gun Bob will fit the parts for you. Bob is not a bad pistol smith. It will be cheaper to do the work your self as harly correctly stated. R S
