All right I really dont like to change my firearms around but its that or buy new guns and my wife isn't having that. I am planning a hiking/hunting/fishing trip this fall in bear and mountain lion country and figure to bring Big Dan with me, but unfortunately I didnt by a pistol pack and my Dan only 8" heavy barrel. I have contacted LB custom grips( and waiting for reply) on new grips but I am having trouble finding a shorter lighter barrel. Are my only options Gun broker and places like that or is there another option. I have tried EWK's website and only found smaller caliber barrels. Also considering hammer and trigger change out options. Any help? thanks in advance for any info.

What caliber Dan do you have? You can order barrels and shrouds directly from Dan Wesson in Norwich NY, they will make them for you. It takes about four to six weeks to get one.

It's a 44 mag with 8" heavy barrel. Thanks for the info I will be looking into both suggestions. By the way is the Eric, Blacktop speaks of involve with EWK or did miss something?
