I was just visiting the CZ-USA website and they now have barrels and shrouds in blue and stainless in 357 and 44 up to 10". Really nice to see them carrying this much variety. Lets hope we may someday see the resurgance of Dan Wesson Arms. Hope this isn't old news, I was excited to see this and wanted to let folks here know. By the way......I do not work for CZ.

Wisdom is merely the realization of how little one knows, therefore I am wise.

Great news Blacktop. I am drool just at the thought.

LB

How do you think I felt. I could see them, I could feel them, but

I could not take one home. drool just the shroud slots need cut and a few

this and that's plus the bluing...they are so close but just not yet.

Also it looks like Eric has got both his irons plus both legs in the fire

and he is only one man so we must be patient.

Be advised that the CZ site is not the most reliable place for DW revolver information.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I ordered a 4 inch stainless barrel for my 44 from CZ about a month ago.  They shipped it quickly & the fit and finish are excellent.

This is not just "revolver information". It is just simply a fact. I called them and they have the barrels and shrouds in stock. Perhaps you would care to elaborate on your comment.

"CZ" in the past has offered Dan Wesson revolver parts and accessories that have not actually been available on the "Dan Wesson" side of the business, admittedly over a year ago. There was a tendency for CZ to over promise and under deliver on the revolver side of the Dan Wesson business, most notably throughout the entire 715 re-introduction process.

If you called Dan Wesson in Norwich, NY, you got factual information, which has always been the case. If you contacted "Big CZ", you got less accurate info.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

I believe they have always had barrels and shrouds available, although they may not have advertised them. If it wasn't in stock, they would make it for you. 2 years ago, I called and ordered a 10" barrel assembly for my 357 SuperMag. It showed up in about 3 weeks. Only thing is, the ventilated rib is slightly narrower than the original 3/8" DW rib so some of the bolt on scope mounts don't fit correctly. I had it drilled and tapped for a Weigand mount. The gunsmith centered it on the rib since it was designed for the slightly wider original rib. Does anyone know if the new production 357's have this narrower rib?

Yes, the top of the Vent Rib on the new 715 is definitely narrower. I think you would be hard pressed to get a Burris or b square mount on that.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
