Welcome to DWF.
The gun in your photo is a 14-2 (to be a Model 15-2 it needs to have adjustable rear sights).
From the S/n it is probably a 1981-82 gun.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thank You for the welcome. Just got back from the gun store and straightened out the paperwork. I didn't come back with the other one. If they would've taken my Ruger LCR in trade I'd have another DW.
...and that would have been a very good trade!

if you find one...what's your plan?

Welcome from the Bluegrass. Good lookin shooter you picked up. Didn't take long for the DWAS to get a hold of you huh?.. Once you get a feel for them in your hand and they go off and that bullet hits where you aim....

When I shoot it I get a lot of ( I don't know if you call it blow by or gasses or soot) on the cylinder. I wipe the gun off and its pretty dirty. Some of the blueing is worn off on the cylinder where it meets the barrel. It's definitely from the gasses escaping. Is this normal?

Mine does this as well. I need to wipe it before I put it back into the case. Being new to revolvers, I assumed this is normal; though I am uncertain if it is just a DW trait or not
