Hi Guys,

I just picked up this beauty. I don’t know much about it but I think it’s a 15-2 from around 1978. I put 40 rounds through her the other day. No issues tack driver. I don’t think it was used much.

question... should I tear down and clean lube mechanisms?  She feels and shoots nice but I want to start off on the right foot.

thanks!

Yes, read "the Average Joe Tuneup" in Gunsmithing.

When ejecting cases keep the index and middle fingers of your left hand pushing the cylinder to keep it open while the extracted is extended. Tilt the gun to the left. The cylinder tends to close with the star extended and the sideplate can get nasty scratches and gouges. Very nice gun.
