Hello guys, just bought myself a .357 DW.
Seems to be some years old, ant som previous owner has "had its way" with it, tried to polish of the blueing on the shroud, barrel and coverplate.....
I decided to buy it, since I dont have a revolver, and my approval for a .357 was about to expire...
Asking price was 250$, got it for 170$, which in Norway would be dirtcheap even for an unusable lump of metal and even an non-functionable firearm
.
Only thing now, is seeing how this puppy shoots...

Very nice...do y'all have a lot of DW's over there? I am curious because I always just
ass-u-me-d that most of them stayed here in the States. It seems that we are getting lot of action from your end of the world.
Do you have any info to share about the gun (place of manufacture, serial #, etc)?
Regardless, it looks like you may qualify for a . I'd love to find any variant for that price!

I think you will be pleased with how she shoots (if the prior owner hasn't changed that).
EWK can fix you up with barrel wrenches, fiber optic sights, and other goodies. LB, can carve you up a nice wood grip.. I know I love mine!! Just ceck out the side-bar over yonder>>>>>>>>

Thanks everybody!
Blacktop, Charger Fan, DWA_Midwest: part of the reason I did buy this gun was because of the finish since i have allway wanted a "stainless gun". This said, something has to be done, since there was small traces of rust on the barrel when I bought it. Have been thinking about getting a new finish on it, chrome perhaps. Norway is a small country, the shooting community tiny, and the people who actually perform are only a few, but I think I may have found the right ones for the job. A guesstimate i have been quoted was approx 200$, and that was with a good overhead. Seem like a good company and have heard that they have done guns before too. http://centrumfornikling.no/
Str8shutr: Thought you knew that you're not suppossed to assume, cause then "u-make-an-ass-of-u-and-me... hehe
I have also noticed that some keep popping up outside the US more and more. Doesn't seem to be that many around here in Norway if you ask me, but I see some.
By the way, it's a Monsun gun S/N is 26651X which from what saw in the registry, seem to be made around 1979.
Pinetor: Seems like I have to "go a little crazy" on EKWs site, need both wrench, gauge and nut, some spares could also be nice to have.
DWA_Midwest: Seem like shrouds shouldn't be a problem, barrels on the other hand is! Huge problem having several barrel for a single gun, lot of paperwork, applying for permit, and even then not certain that they will grant you if the "man in charge" has a bad day....
Will open this old gal up som day, seems the DA is a bit on the heavy side, so some Wolff springs and an "Average Joe trigger job" would be close.
Had her on the range by the way, some previos motherf***** have mounted the barrel with NO clerance between the barrel and cylinder WHATSOEVER
This resulted in one shot getting fired, then it all locked up TIGHTLY. Couldn't cycle, couldn't open the cylinder, stuck.... That motherf***** has also tightened the nut for king and country, almost stripping the notches on it, so wrench and new nut is on the top of my wishlist.
Will post more pictures as I get along on my way of things to do.

Careful trying to get that barrel nut off.... you need LOTS of patience and just a LITTLE muscle... And of course a good wrench from EWK...
While you are waiting for the wrench to arrive, start soaking the end of the barrel in penetrating oil of any kind, it can't hurt. Also squirt some penetrant into the threads on the frame end--sometimes they will unscrew from the frame easier.
