Hi all, I recently came into possession of a .22 DW revolver that belonged to my dad...its pretty much the gun I learned to shoot with. Im currently in the process of getting it cleaned up and reblued, and was wondering if the interchangable barrels are still available. Ive also always wondered if you can swap out the barrel assembly and cyl with .357 parts without changing the firing pin.
any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Welcome to DWF. Barrels and shrouds are available from CZ/Dan Wesson. There is a 2009 Price List in our Part and Service Topic. If you need someone to do your bluing, our member "hotbluer" was formerly the DW bluer, does very good work, and does minor repairs and gunsmithing on DW's as well.
I believe that the threads in the frame that accept the barrel is different for .357 and .22 barrels to specifically not allow someone to fire the wrong caliber through a barrel.
Please visit our New Members are so we can learn more about you, and see some photo's of your Model 22
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Dezmo,
As Steve stated the barrels are available from CZ currently, you can also keep watch on Gunbroker and the other auction sites. I believe there is currently a .22 2" barrell assembly on GB as we write. They do come up for sale from time to time. Good luck with your new .22. there is also quite a bit of info here at the on .22 ammo and its nuances in respect to different guns. Spend some time with different ammo till you have it dialed in.

As Steve stated you can't put a standard mod. 15 barrel on the .22, the shroud would fit, the cylinder would fit, however the firing pin would still be hitting on the rim of the .357 and obviously wouldn't work. .22's cheaper anyway to shoot, and it gives you a reason to go out and buy another gun.

Thanks guys for the info. I know the .22 is far cheaper to shoot with, but I thought itd be neat to have some diff barrels and calibers for it. Its mainly a heirloom, but dont think for a second this thing is gonna be a cabinet queen, I cant wait to get it to the range.
One of these days I will dig thru the pile of pics my mom has and find the one of me when I was 7 or 8 yrs old, shooting the DW, with it propped up on a stump because the bull barrel was too heavy for me to hold steady.
