Borrow my fathers barrel wrench and closed up the cylinder gap (was larger than .035), set it to .004. Called DW for parts and they mailed me a new hand (stainless it looks, not blue like the original 14-1 part). It looked larger than the old one, thicker, but measuring both came out @ .110-.111 thickness, but the new one didnt have the small notch cut out of it. Obviously wasn't cycling properly (would rotate the cylinder then get stuck without being able to fully cock the hammer back). So I used my knife sharpeners to form my own notch as cleanly as I could. The old hand measured .092 thick where the notch was, the new one I took down to .098 before it would fully rotate the cylinder and allow the hammer to cock back. Is there anything else I need to look for to make sure it is set correctly?
