Hi all, new member here!  Just grabbed a 15-2 from a GB auction that I'd been eyeing.  It appears to be a 15-2 that is parkerized...

SN is 311xxx which puts it (per the registry) at 1981 - the year of my birth which kind of solidified me having to have it.

I was wondering if you guys had any info on the parkerized version?  Is it factory (I can't find anything) or did someone refinish it?

My plans are a spring kit and a tune-up, new sights and grips and maybe some cerakote to clean her up a bit.

Thanks!

I was watching this DW on gunbroker.  I was curious if someone had bead blasted the original bluing off the pistol. I'm interested to see how this turns out. I'm parting out a frame in case you need any parts

Kind of looks like a parkerized finish because of the greenish hue.  Cerekote or the like would help a lot.  Enjoy!

Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Yeah, overpaid a bit but I'll make it up.  Not sure on what happened to it, but I'll get her back running and put some new clothes on her and she'll be sexy again...

Good for you! I bought a 175 New Years ago and when I looked at the SN I was alone away...my DOB too.

If you're going to drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
