that is the correct length for a porkchop (which is the type of barrel shroud you have) 4 inch barrel. The later models have a 4 inch barrel which won't work for you. I don't know if Dan Wesson will make one or not, but EWK made one for me a litttle way back. It was quite reasonable price wise and shoots great. good luck.
EDIT: I realise after the fact you asked about a 3 1/4 inch barrel. No such animal. The barrel would be easy enough, the shroud would be a whole other story. You could ask Eric at EWK if he could cut a new style shroud (which he makes) to the appropriate lenth, buy one of his adapters to make it fit your frame, and make a barrel to fit. He can work out the correct shroud length. I don't know if it would be worth the cost or not but it is possible if he would do it. He does excellent work.
