Welcome to the forum. Your Dan Wesson is a model 14-2. Going by your serial # I would guess build date around 1977. Looks like a nice one with a little bit of character. What else do you want to know? Read around the forums here, you can learn a great deal.
Take it to the range and give us a range report!

Greetings
Welcome to the DW family. Fair warning.. you can become a DW fanatic real fast once you learn how to make that Model 14 tick. There are numerous articals about barrel gap and barrel tension that will make that revolver sign a beautiful song.
Bought my first back in 1978 and am always on a prowl for another. DW revolvers are my idea of what a handheld firearm should be.

Welcome to the forum. A 14-2 is a very well balanced gun. Play with different cartridges to see which is more accurate in your gun. Do you have a barrel wrench? When you buy more barrels make sure they are for a 14-2 , not a 15-2.
Or be prepared to use the EWK front conversion sight on a 15-2 B/A. 15-2 B/A's are much easier to find, and the specially designed EWK front sight brings everything back into harmony.
I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks for the info on the sight. Searching around for barrels.

Mike, good to see you again. I know that you have some DWF "interruptions" with travel demands.
Peace be with you and stay in touch
