Can you help me identify which frame and model my new revolver is? Seller said it was a 715A but there are no markings of such.  Markings are:

357 Magnum CTG

S/N SDO19XXX

Monson Mass.

Very accurate and the trigger is great. Wanting to purchase a 8" 0r 10" SS barrel.

Yes, it is a model 715, with the full model designation being a 715VH6 since it has a 6" heavy barrel.

Wayne has it right, and it was probably 1986 (or so) manufacture.

Beautiful revolver.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Yip that is what it is!   Nice looking Dan, Enjoy that one.  The 10"  may e hard to find except from CZ, pricey but new!

I agree, nice background.smile I've been trying to get one of our local antelope to hold still long enough to get a nice background like that, but so far none want to cooperate.big-grin

Maybe I'll just lay a gun on one of my dogs.lol2 I know they'll hold still, but somehow it's just not the same.

Watch gunbroker for those extra barrel assemblies, or if you are in a hurry, order them from DW; see right hand column for link.

Is that a Sika deer hide?  Makes a great background for the 715.  Welcome and we love the picture.cool-picsdrool

I think I have your Dan Wesson's younger brother.  Mine is S/N SD018xxx originally purchased in 1986 by my father.
