Good evening folks,

First of all, I'm new here. My name is Jacob and I hail from northern Nevada.

I've recently acquired a new (to me) Dan Wesson Revolver, but I'd love some help on identifying what specific model it is. I've attached a few photos from the auction listing I bought it from. From my preliminary research I'm leaning towards it being a Model 14, but I'm a complete novice on this subject and these firearms. I'd really appreciate any input.

Also, does anyone know a good way to date it?

Welcome to the Forum. You have a Model 14-2 . I can't quite make out the serial number but -2s started around serial number 50,000 in late 1974. If that starts with a 5 it would be late 74 or early 75.if it is a 9 it would be a year or two later.
