The DW 15 Pistol Pack was not viable after costs and import duties.
I am still hoping to find a 715 .357 Pistol pack in France.
I did on 3 occassions send an email to 3 different departments at Dan Wesson USA over 6 month period, to see if there was a way I could buy a new Pistol Pack through their Distributer in France, never had any reply. If anyone has an idea how I could contact someone at DW to get an answer that would be great.
Pictures are of the 715 I bought on the net in France, it came with the two grips and barrel tool all in the original cardboad box packaging. I gave the Dan a bit of a polish, took it out to the Range and I am happy with the weapon and price I paid (500€), just waiting for a Hogue grip to arrive for it. Tried to order a Wood Grip from LB but unfortunately does not ship international.
The Pistol Pack case I bought off the net here in France for 50€ with 2 original keys (a Bargain) I have the original yellow cloth with it too, but I am not a fan of that. I will have a new replacement foam insert cut (I will keep the original and yellow cloth)

I've always like the 6VH. Your gun is outstanding!
I advise you to upgrade your plastic tool to a metal one and retire the plastic one from use. My 22 came with the plastic tool and it wasn't long before the plastic one no longer worked. The plastic is too soft/brittle for a working tool. It's nice to have the original tool but sometimes the original isn't as good as an aftermarket.

Thanks for the advice about the barrel tool, I had already decided to do exactly that.
My shooting partner has a 715 pistol pack, his broke after a short period of owning it so I knew the problem.
His 715 (Palmer manufacture) has alot of foundry pitting on the barrel shrouds, dont know if this is a problem just for Palmer made models.

Very nice! Always enjoy seeing DW owners outside the US. Especially in France. I thought the laws were fairly strict for civilian gun ownership over there.
Send an email to Keith VP at DW and see if he responds. Keith@cz-usa.com

Thanks for the email address I will give him a try, nothing ventured !
As for the gun laws in France, they have just tightened up a bit, but it is not too bad. You must be a shooting club member, and then you are allowed to own upto 10 'Cat B' Guns which covers most guns and calibres, rim fire and centre fire such as AR15, all Pistols and Revolvers and all semi autos etc. You can also own (I think it is unlimited as I own around 15 Cat C guns) Cat C is all shotguns (except pump action these are Cat B) All bolt action Carbines such as Ruger Precision Rifle 308 etc
If you compare with the UK where really it is just shotguns, and very soon you will need a permit and a steel cabinet to keep your catapult in.

Rupert:
The rectangular "hole" in your case is for a DW belt buckle. I have a spare I would be willing to send you if we (I) can figure out how to send it to you. It's not a gun or a part and has almost no value...should be easy?
Back story. I bought this from DW way back when. It came with a broken tip (the part that fits in the belt holes). DW was kind enough to send me another one. This one needs a cleaning and does have a couple of small scratches from bouncing around my leathercraft box. Like I said it's broken, but would look better in your case than an empty space.
1979 and has a 8VH on front.
It's not for sale, but it's yours if you would like it.
I've never contacted anyone on this site but Jody. I'm sure we can work something out that protects your security if you're interested.

THIS is the DWF! Just use the PM feature to work out the address. It's easy to send international mail. Just takes a bit longer....
Technically, the glass is always full; half liquid, half air....

Well thats very nice of you Leonard, that would be great to have, but what about the shipping cost to France ?
Perhaps you could check on that first just incase its over expensive, I am not sure of the options that you have in the USA for shipping international, but I presume by letter post would be the best option if it is available. Let me know and we can work out how I send you the shipping cost.
Thanks again, and wait to hear from you (I am travelling to Andorra tomorrow, will not have internet access again until I return to France Thursday next week)
And thanks DWF for the pointer.

USPS (United States Postal Service) site says I can send either a small box or envelope to France for just over $35. I think I can afford that, depending on the day and how generous the Wife has been with my pocket $ that week.
I have a time crunch project going on for the rest of this week so can't make it into town to see what the local post office has in stock and make sure of cost.
For me it's a done deal if you want the buckle. If you're game send me a PM with your snail mail information and I'll try to get this thing mailed next week.
