Grip screw seated to deep.  Back the screw out and try again.

If the new grip changed the depth of the grip screw it may be the culprit.

Easy one, grip screw tightened in too far. Very common occurrence with the Hogue Monogrip. Grip screw extending into the mainspring seat. Back off the grip screw until you get proper function, you might need to put a washer on the grip screw.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

Thanks to all, and to all - you were right! Bought my Dan 15-2V with a 6" brand new 30+ years ago. Added an 8"HV barrel back when Dan Tana was the hottest thing on the tube. Original owner, how cool is that? After much soul searching, sold my 8"HV barrel yesterday on gunbroker, just a bit to big to carry. Really like the size and feel of this fantastic weapon with the monogrip and the 4"V. I think I am really going to bond with this one. Pics later.

p.s. Dr. Sparky, nice pic, you give me sellers remorse

Glad to help, this is a very common DW "problem"
