Hi

I have aquired a Model 15 Dan Wesson. The previous owner gave me some 357 Magnum shots from Norma.

They have the following specs:

fps: 1450

grains: 158

ft.lbs E0: 735

Joule E0: 1000

Pretty hot rounds.

Any reason to be worried shooting these rounds in my Dan Wesson?

Shoot with confidence. DWs reputation is it's the strongest double action revolver produced.

OH and by the way dwf-welcome to the forum.

Thanks, lbruce

I am looking forward to try the DW with some hot 357 Mags smile.

I have had the DW Model 15-2 for three weeks and I absolutely love it.

It is two barrels 6" and 8" both vented (not heavy). It is a 1977 model.

I actually got it for free from a mate at work.

Got a few hundred rounds for free too.

What a nice guy. He was getting rid of his guns, because he moved to a smaller place and he did not shoot much anymore.

Love the SA and the DA is good in my opinion too, but I don't have much experience from other guns.

Below is my first series with the revolver. It was DA and 6 shots is 12 seconds. Range 20 yards. I am a newbie and can only imagine how a pro would handle the revolver.

Well thats some nice DA shooting I must admit. Just think what that grouping will look like after a few hundred more rounds.  laugh

BTW Welcome to the dwf.

Does your friend want to give away any more Dans?  big-grin

Thanks, Scorpio.

I am sorry to say, but he has no more Dans wink.

The one he gave me, had been a safe queen for almost 20 years.

I picked it totally apart, using the very good step by step guide found on the Dan Wesson-forum. Cleaned it up, put it together and it is as good as new.

I am getting some jealous looks from the others on the range, when I change barrels "on the fly" smile. People loves the looks of the revolver with the 8" barrel.
