I recently acquired a scarce Norwich era pistol pak but the grips are incorrect.

One of the grips is Hogue but in the wrong tang configuration. The second grip is a custom job.

What would have been the most likely grips to find in a Norwich era pistol pak?

Hogue's were on all my Norwich guns and some have Hogue wood grips as well.

I may be mistaken but I believe all Hogues have square holes, even on the large frame models. Someone who has several Hogue grips should be able to confirm or rule out.

Post up a photo of that Norwich pack!  You can't just come on here declaring "I recently acquired a scarce Norwich era pistol pak" without showing and revealing what it is!!  mad

Yeah...I could. But then again...I'm looking for answers, not a critique of what I bought or what I want. I recently had some experience with that. I probably will tell the tale eventually, but the time isn't right.

Time is right for the tale...

One of the forum members passed away prior to my becoming infected with DWAS and joining the group.

I learned of a seller who had DW revolvers for sale...one of which was a First Issue Hunter Pack II 7360.

In reading the forum posts about 360 revolvers and in PMs with Scorpio I learned of the rarity of this set.

Only after the 7360 arrived and was being examined did I discover some intriguing paperwork. Fortunately, my drool had not affected the legibility...and something struck me as familiar.

In rereading DWF posts I learned that this is the set referred to here...

https://www.danwessonforum.com/forum/dan-wesson-large-supermag-revolvers/hp-7360/

I was flabbergasted. I had no previous idea that I was buying from family of a valued DWF supporter.

Am I understanding this correctly, has Paranormal passed away?

It is in good hands and stayed in the family, to be passed on when the time comes.   Enjoy and know you are a lucky one in acquiring this rare piece of Dan History!
