Wondering what was offered for grips in the original pre-CZ Norwich era. Was there a wood offering from factory? Was zebrawood a factory offering? I see a lot of hogue rubbers.

Hogue rubber grips were pretty much the standard in the Norwich era.

I have a ANIB 715 First Issue that has conventional checkered Zebra with medallions. I suspect the early Serva guns had grips from the Monson and Palmer eras. I have a First Issue Rowland 7460 that came with Hogue rubber.. I don't own any CZ Dans. Or any fixed barrel half a Dans. 😲😆.

So, yes, pre CZ wood grips were offered. As a matter of fact, they are maybe nicer than any previous wood grips.
