The front sight is damaged and needs to be replaced. What size do I need? Anyone know?

I would assume that the standard height will work just fine. Here is the link to all of the EWK sights, and this is the link to his standard height sight. Nice looking Dan btw.

It's not easy to tell. The part of the front sight toward the hammer end is broken off. It functions, but I'd rather replace it. How difficult is it to get the pin out?

The pin is a retainer for the notch in the sight. Look at the end of the barrel, you'll see a small allen key set set screw. Thread that out and pull out the old sight. It might be a little stuck so a tap with a rubber mallet might be required.

As you are sight shopping, be aware that there are different height factory original DW front sight blades from the Monson era.

I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman "Were is the Self Help Section?" She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

So, how do I determine the sight height, simply measure it at the highest point with a tape measure?
